Tour Guide: Purnima Zweers

Purnima Zweers has lived in India since 1985, mostly in various holy places and often in ashrams. Purnima's hunger for spiritual knowledge led her to India where she had the good fortune to meet and study with many great spiritual masters. From India to Mount Kailash in Tibet, Purnima has traversed the Himalayas on several pilgrimages. She began leading tours to India in 1994.

Purnima has studied Yoga and Vedanta in Rishikesh and Indian classical music in Varanasi. In Holland, Purnima's native country, she was trained as a social worker as well as a teacher. She is the author of “Spiritual Education”, a book for parents and teachers interested in education based on higher values.

Purnima has lived in India for about 20 years and has come to know well its people, and its cultural and spiritual traditions. Purnima's deep love for India and her dedication to her own personal spiritual journey give her exceptional skills for guiding pilgrims through sacred India. It is her wish that also local people should be benefitted and therefore some part of the income is used to support several charitable activities in North or South India.
